Facts About Abriel

I know that I have not been keeping up with blogtober, and for that I apologize. However, college has been kicking my butt! I've had quite a few essays to write and I have also been helping others with their homework. I hope to post more regularly during November!

Today's topic is facts about me! I know that I am supposed to do a costume reveal on halloween but I will be very busy! I will post tomorrow about what I was and what I did so stay tuned! Now... back to the topic at hand. I had to think long and hard on what facts about myself to tell you guys. I don't think I'm THAT interesting.

To start off.. because I couldn't think of anything insanely cool. I like nature!
If you didn't already know, I'm a photographer and I love what I do.

I love my mom, and I like to think she's my bestfriend <3

Sushi is fabulous and it tastes amazing. I eat a lot of it.

I lived in Texas for six years of my life.

I absolutely LOVE hiking! This is from brown mountain.

This isn't that good of a picture, but the last fact is that I have awesome roommates!

Happy (Belated) Birthday!!

Happy 1st birthday to my blog! Well.. belated anyways. Sadly I have been a bad blogger and forgot to tell you all that my blog turned ONE on friday! I know, I can't believe it either. And yes, there are so many other bloggers who have been blogging for three, five, or ten years. But I think that one is very special! Especially for me! I can't believe how much I have grown as a blogger in just one year.

Looking back to my first post (Here) where I introduced my blog and what it was going to be and just going through my posts all the way up to now, my mind is blown. I've gone through a lot in the past year and it really amazes me how I have grown not only as a blogger but also as a person. College has really taken me through a lot. However, documenting it all has made my experiences that much better. Being able to reflect on memories is one of the reasons I started this blog to begin with.

Another thing I think is important is you all! I want to thank all the people who read my blog and have been here since the beginning. I did not think that I would have the viewers that I do and I truly appreciate all of you!

I look forward to another year of blogging and hopefully many more!

Until next time..

My top ten pet peeves... late post

To be honest, the slightest things can bother me. However, it all depends on who you are! Some of my closest friends do the things listed below, but it doesn't bother me as much, or at all when they do vs when someone else does it. I wanted to keep this short and sweet since I am behind (my apologies), so here ya go!

  1. incorrect grammar
  2. people who text with incorrect grammar
  3. one word responses
  4. when people answer questions with questions
  5. when people say their fine and i know they're not
  6. when people stare at me and don't say anything
  8. childish behaviour
  9. when people ask to hang out but then they're on their phone the whole time
  10. excessive negative people
What are your pet peeves? Please share below! :)

My third biggest fear.

The reason I won't share my biggest fear here is because it's too depressing to read about and my second biggest fear can be used against me. Therefore that leaves me with my third biggest fear.
I have a fear of not succeeding in my profession. It may not seem like much when reading that sentence, but think about it.. Basically my whole life will be revolved around my career and how well I do in it. Seeing as I plan to be a photographer and videographer for the rest of my life and nothing else, it kind of HAS to work out. There is no other option. And if I fail in that I don't know what I would do or how I would even begin to start over.

Now, people who know me personally know I don't like to dwell on the negative. I try to surround my life with positivity. Therefore I don't often think about this fear. Instead, I have faith that I will do ten fold above what my expectations are of myself. I always imagine myself being bigger and better than I can picture right now and that helps me to maintain faith in myself.

If a fear is getting you down and stopping you from accomplishing something then focus on the positive and push through! And if you're anything like me.. whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, always remember how far you have already come. Remember the battles you face and the gnarly scars (physically or emotionally) that you got from them, and all the fears you've already overcome. When you think of it that way it's a lot easier to move forward!
I apologize for being behind in my blogtober posts. I'll be back on track for the rest of the month and can't wait to write about these other topics!
Until next time..

Psalm 46:1 & 5

Today's prompt is supposed to be my favorite quote and why. However, there are too many quotes that I like to even consider just putting one. And while this also applies to scriptures, it's a lot easier for me to write about my favorite scripture and why.

Now technically my favorite scripture is two separate ones but just bear with me please haha. I have my reasons for this and you will soon see!

Psalm 46:1 says "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
When I was about 10 my aunt read me this scripture when I was going through a tough time with my family and it has stuck with me ever since. No matter what I went (go) through I always have reminded myself of this scripture and what it means to me. No matter what I go through God will help me get through it.

Psalm 46: 5 says "God is within her, she will not fall."
This one I didn't pay too much attention to until about two years ago. When I was in the hospital a nurse read this to me and said to always remember that I can't fail or fall when I have God on my side. I have treasured this scripture so much since then.

Do you have any favorite scriptures or quotes that have stuck with you for awhile?
Please share in the comments below! & Join blogtober!! Prompts below vvvvvv

Funniest Memory from Childhood.. or Not.

Here I am, little toddler me. Aren't I cute? Yeah.. I don't know what happened.. kidding haha
I've got way too many funny memories from childhood. Actually, now that I think about it there aren't that many funny ones but I've got a good stash of wonderful childhood memories in my brain.

I honestly wish I had a hilarious story to tell you, but I can't think of ANYTHING.
I promise I will actually have something for you tomorrow.

Midterm Season Humor

It's midterm season! So of course I had to make a post about midterms. Now, some of you may have already had your midterms, and some of you may have some coming up. I can't really give you much advice on midterms except study and know the material. If you're unsure on how to study then check out my Study Tips Post. What I am here to do for you is make you laugh and give you some motivation during your study breaks! You don't need to be more stressed than you already are so just relax during midterm season and try your best cause that's all you can do.

I hope you enjoyed your study break and even laughed a bit! I wish you all the best of luck on your exams, and if you've already taken them then don't stress too much again until finals. I'm sure you'll all pass with flying colors! May the odds be ever in your favor!

Best or Worst Halloween Memory #TBT

To be honest halloween wasn't my favorite holiday as a kid because I was  a big scaredy-cat! I hated people who dressed up as freddy, jason, clowns (oh god i hate clowns!) and anything else scary! People used to always think it was really funny to scare me. However, as I have gotten older I have learned to appreciate the holiday because the older you are the later you get to stay out with friends ;)
Last halloween I spent in Hawai'i and I think so far that was my BEST memory of halloween! I was supposed to be a fairy, but sadly couldn't find wings so I settled for being the sun. It was so much fun being with friends and on waikiki strip all night! If you haven't experienced halloween on waikiki strip then you are definitely not doing it right haha.
Here's a recap for those who didn't read my halloween post last year! :)

I even took a picture with freddy! I figured I had to get over my fear sometime!

What was your best or worst halloween experience?

Letter to myself in 10 years

In a few days I will be 20 so just thinking about being 30 in 10 years is crazy to me. I can't even imagine the kind of life I will be living at that age. If I had to write myself a letter at 30 then I guess it would go like this...
Dear Self (10 years from now),
I would first like to say congratulations on making it to 30! (In 2 days to be exact.. sooo HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY! Hopefully by now you've succeeded in starting your own photography business or at least working on it. You may or may not have a family by now depending on how much you've been working and that's okay if you don't! I hope you've decided to not cut your hair short ever again. That's one experience you definitely need to leave in the past! Now, 30 seems so far and so close at the same time. It also seems old.. but in reality it's not old at all. Honestly, all I have to say to you is that you're loved by friends and family (never forget that please), you're a hard worker (always have been, always will be so keep it pushing), you're beautiful no matter what anyone has told you within the past 10 years, you are talented and you have a purpose in this world so continue to strive for the things you want and please follow your heart. I love you self and I am proud of you (hopefully *insert crying laughing emoji here).
Love always,
Self :)
ps; here's some pictures to remind you how silly and fun you were at (almost) 20 ;)
What things would you tell yourself 10 years from now?Would you give yourself any advice?

Until next time..
